Types
The choice between a laying or standing printing head is determined the way the product can be handled the best during the pass through the machine. At the illustration you see two main types; horizontal and vertical. At the horizontal type the rollers are laying one upon the other and the ink is transported top down. At the vertical form the rollers are situated one after another and the ink is transported from the front to the back. For smaller substrates (length up to 120 mm) the printing heads are cantilever designed, whereby all rollers can be removed fast and easy. Tipping and inking rollers are to be controlled pneumatically.
