Flexo

Flexo technique is a rotating indirect letterpress printing technique allowing both round as well as flat parts to be printed. Specific to Flexo are the high velocity and ink layers of 2.0 – 4.0 micron. In principle, only 1 color per stroke can be applied. The inks are viscous and in comparison with offset inks the viscosity is a bit lower. This means no rollers are necessary to knead the inks. By means of a laser engraved doctor roller the ink layer can be applied very easily. Flexo technology is often used by Grauel to apply coatings. Materials coated or printed with Grauel Flexo technique are: plastic, aluminum and steel foils, stationery, etc.
